Buckeye Hunting

One of my favorite things to do in fall has always been buckeye hunting. Every year around the end of September, The Buckeye Tree faithfully yields dozens of smooth, shiny, chestnut-colored gems. Finding one nestled among the dry leaves is like finding a ruby. How are they so round and perfect and beautiful? Each year, I am more fascinated by buckeyes!
